Mold In House Symptoms

There are various reasons why mold happens to grow in homes, buildings, and just about anywhere. Mold and mildew thrive on moisture. In many cases, one can find fungus on various organisms, buildings or homes in unnoticeable, warm, moist places. There are thousands of types of fungus or mold. They gain energy and grow by using other organisms they live on. Over time these connections of organisms destroys its host through the secretion of harmful enzymes. Such enzymes break down complex chemicals found on organisms. It grows in the house, outside, and underneath the house. Mold in house symptoms include infested kitchen pots, pans, and areas enclosed with wood.


Mildew grows well in bathrooms and other damp places in a home. Reproduction of mold depends on the amount of moisture present. They appear in basic colors such as black, grey, white, yellow, green and blue.  In mold-allergic people, molds can cause irritations to the eyes, throat, lungs and nose. Before mold removal, hire a professional to apply testing and proper treatment. Investigating then taking samples and pictures is a good way to present evidence for professional treatment of infested areas in a home or building. Testing for mold deters the possibility of respiratory sicknesses, headaches and allergies.



In order for fungus to grow, the environment must be abundant in water, oxygen and the temperatures must be above forty degrees Fahrenheit, but not above one-hundred degrees Fahrenheit. These little spores die when temperatures are not within the range for growth. People, animals and objects are the primary mode of transportation for mold entry into buildings or a house. Visibly, they are somewhat velvety and have somewhat of a staining or fuzzy growth on top of its host. Sniff around for a stale odor in carpets, sinks, and the woodwork. Unfortunately, some mold in house symptoms may require wall tear outs to get to hidden mold.

Stay alert and be on the lookout for mold in the home. After identifying the places where access moisture is, fix the problem. Make sure water is not seeping from anywhere and that element like firewood and baseboards are not in the path or exposed to a water source. Ventilate cloths, bathrooms, workspace, and kitchens by using fans, or opening windows allowing air to circulate Scrub and thoroughly clean contaminated areas with hot water and a tough bristled brush. Be sure to rinse the area with clear water; however do not let contamination from cleaning run into another area.
